Because Couch Co-op Still Matters
We didn’t expect to fall head-over-heels for Stardew Valley, but once we started playing it in couch co-op, we were hooked. It quickly became our go-to game for any free moment we had. We’d find ourselves squeezing in three in-game days during lunch breaks, calculating down to the minute how long we could farm, mine, or talk to villagers before going back to work.
The Past Within offers one of the most original co-op puzzle experiences we’ve played. Taking place across two timelines—past and future—it forces you and your partner to describe what you see, solve puzzles together, and slowly unravel a mysterious story from two perspectives. It’s an immersive game built on trust, curiosity, and a whole lot of talking.
We went into Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons Remake expecting a short, emotional story, but it hit us harder than we thought. From the very beginning, it was clear this wasn’t just about puzzles or platforming—it was about the bond between two brothers and how that bond mirrored our own as players sharing the experience.
We went into Split Fiction expecting something sweet and simple, but it ended up delivering a surprisingly deep emotional experience. From the moment we picked up the controllers, we were drawn into a story that’s both personal and powerful. It’s easily one of the most heartfelt and fun couch co-op games we’ve played.
